I cannot vouch for the precise figures – which, I think come from America, but I cannot disagee with the sentiment.

That insidious plan, Neoliberalism, has been all too succcessful.

    Yes, the US, Peter, where the transformation (decline) of what in the 50s, 60s and 70s was widely regarded as the ‘middle class’ into today’s ‘working poor’ is well documented. But you’re correct, much the same has happened here although not over quite such an extended period and not quite as drastically. Nevertheless, it is an outcome of neoliberalism, as you say, and a well documented one at that. Consequently, nobody can claim ignorance on this issue.
