This story in the ‘Mirror’ really does go to show that our elected government does not actually have our best interests and more especially, those of our children – our very future – at heart.
They were unable – or unwilling – to accept the offer of cheap broadband for children’s learning during the pandemic in June.
To act in our best interests is at the very base of what we elect governments for.
No wonder confidence in politicians is so very, very low.
Additionally there is no reason at all, of course, why government could not offer universal free broadband in any case….
I normally try to be – at least a bit – upbeat but this is all so very depressing…
