We might also like to consider whether we really want the payment processors taking their commission percentage on everything – for ever, and knowing everything about our spending habits…
Bitcoin may be anonymous but is really even worse. It uses electricity in completely unsustainable amounts and this ‘climate breaking’ technology is built on reactionary economics. The ‘too clever by half’ operational technology has blinded people to its general uselessness.
If money as physical cash is an IOU then it is simple, basic and personally anonymous.
That is just the most straightforward form of data protection.
